Thirty years ago, a! Diseño became a publication made by and for designers in Mexico. Today, a! Diseño is much more than a publication; it’s a design forum, a magazine, a network project, and more. To celebrate its 30th Anniversary, we were invited (as were other designers, illustrators, and typographers) to create a poster using its anniversary number in Roman numerals: XXX. This project was our contribution, and we were honored to be part of this creative group that took on the challenge invited by Antonio Perez Iragorri. The special publication showed the work of other great creative friends and colleagues like Felix Beltran, Raul Plancarte, Gabriel Martinez Meave, Juan Carlos Fernandez, 3indesign, Carl Forsell, and Anagrama Studio, to name just a few. And just for fun, we did a little a! Diseño rebrand idea at the bottom of the poster.
